We are currently receiving around 100 applications per month. We would like to treat every veteran who applies but unfortunately do not have the means to do so at this time. Treatment clinics are monthly or bi-monthly and usually occur on the 3rd Saturday of the month. The clinics run from 0800 to 1200. You can obtain the date of our next clinic by viewing the news feed on our home page. At each Saturday treatment clinic we are able to see about 20-30 veterans depending on the amount of volunteers we receive. The main focus at the treatment clinics is to get veterans out of pain and/or treat their chief complaint (whatever is bothering them the most). The clinics are run by dental school students at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine and all dental procedures performed are supervised by faculty Dentists who volunteer their time.

Due to such a high number of applications we are currently focusing on treating those veterans who are in pain first. In general, each patient is only seen at one Saturday treatment clinic. Occasionally, we may see a patient at more than one treatment clinic on a case by case basis. If you are accepted for treatment you will receive a phone call 1-2 weeks before the next clinic. If we do not hear back from you within three days from that phone call we will fill your spot with the next qualified veteran on our list.

At this time we have no employees to help manage patient applications and schedule patients for care. All of these tasks are being performed by dental school students who volunteer their time (which is very limited). The application you are about to submit helps us determine your priority and need for dental care at our Saturday treatment clinics.
